LEPTOMAR, IBIOMAR-CONICET
The Laboratory of Ecology of Marine Top Predators (LEPTOMAR) is a national and regional reference entity, internationally recognized, specializing in studies of spatial and animal movement ecology. This laboratory has led the use of advanced electronic technology in the region to investigate the behavior of seabirds and marine mammals, training numerous professionals and generating valuable long-term datasets. Currently, LEPTOMAR produces most of the national and Latin American publications on spatial and movement ecology of seabirds. The laboratory, made up of six CONICET researchers and their students, also explores evolutionary ecology, parasitic ecology, and the health of wild populations, among other fields.

CONICET
The National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) is Argentina's leading research organization, founded in 1958. As a decentralized entity under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, it promotes science and technology across diverse disciplines. It is devoted both to basic research, which expands the frontier of knowledge, and to applied research, seeking solutions to specific problems. It carries out its work through research institutes distributed throughout the country, training new researchers and promoting science in Argentina.

CENPAT
The Patagonian National Center (CENPAT) is an interdisciplinary research institution located in Puerto Madryn, Argentina, which is part of CONICET. Founded in 1970, its aim is to develop high-quality scientific research on key aspects of Patagonia and the southern region of the Atlantic. IBIOMAR
The Institute of Biology of Marine Organisms (IBIOMAR) is a CONICET research unit based in Puerto Madryn, Argentina.
