Live cameras

Live broadcast from the Patagonian seabird colonies; a monitoring project with streaming unprecedented in Argentina.

High-definition video cameras to remotely monitor, without human disturbance, the development of the breeding seasons of three seabird species that breed on Isla Tova, Tovita and Gran Robredo, Chubut.

The use of this technology is unprecedented in Argentina and in much of the world. It allows the monitoring of breeding populations in hard-to-access sites (i.e. islands) and provides a unique opportunity to give public access to knowledge of the species. The work is carried out with the collaboration of Fundación Rewilding Argentina, Ornis Itálica and the Government of the province of Chubut.

The birdcams stream live during the seabirds' breeding season. The cameras are currently offline; come back during the season to watch the live broadcasts.
